Covid-19 Support - 2020 (March-September)

Individuals registered with the Department of Information and Public Relations, Govt. of Karnataka, as Covid Warriors and the team then worked with other teams on awareness materials, extended support to fight spread of fake news, engaged in distribution of ration and food to poor and migrants. During the first wave of Covid -19 pandemic, CV7 team, which was an informal citizen collective, organised themselves with a kitchen and pooled financial resources and provided meals for about 450 underprivileged individuals affected by lockdown, daily for 45 days. And grocery kits were provided to 100 families to support them for 15 days.

The objective of this interim arrangement, being, oxygen supplementation  for people with mild respiratory distress (poor oxygen saturation), and preventing them from deteriorating further and going into severe distress at which stage it may be difficult to revive them.
